Low Petergate 1920's, York. Prints derived from my original Painting.
Before I finally gave in and became an artist I decided to work at a local printers to learn the ropes and understand the print industry. It was a great experience and although I was only there a few months the staff took me under their wing and I am still in contact with many of them to this day. Low Petergate 1920s was the first picture I did when I left the printers and got my street licence to sell outdoors. Most of the people in the street in the picture are people who worked in the printers.
Lucy my black cat hides in this and most of my other York pictures. Have you found Lucy?
