Prints derived from my original watercolour and mixed media artwork.
Turpin is buried in York, and you can visit his grave, but its not the first time Mr Turpin has risen from the grave... He was dug up on ate least twice, once for the medical knowledge of local surgeons and another time paraded around the city, locally a hero to the poor but the reality of his life is far more concerning. Turpin was no Robin Hood, he was a cruel murderer and blackmailer he tortured his victims on occasions, he was caught because he shot someones prize breeding cock. He hanged on the Knavesmire on 1739. A lot of Turpin's exploits (the gentler ones) could be attributed to other highwaymen, there was no black bess and the legendary ride from London to York was probably done by "Swift Nick". But the legend endures and he returns to set the record straight!
The zombie pictures are painted using special watercolour paints called supergranulation paints which spread out and break down into various shades and colours.
