York Minster's west face is one of the countries most iconic views, sometimes it is lit on a night so it can be seen from miles around. We see it here from one of the city's best and most secret vantage points, Precentors Court. This sleepy street is just next to the minster but is largely missed by the public, it adds to the beauty of the scene. Here you see it peaceful and quiet (as it is most nights!) on a snowy winters night.

Dark and atmospheric the series depicts the city asleep on a snowy night, the snow on the pavements largely undisturbed, except for the occasional black cats footprints.

Most people buy the Black mounted version of the prints as it seems to add to the ambience, cream mounts are also available in the small and large size should you choose.

The original oil paintings can take months to do and as such I only add 1 painting a year to this series providing it snows!
