Prints derived from my original Drawing.
There is a story behind this picture. Every winter when I end up working in the studio instead of working outside, when the weather turns bad. I bring home what ever I've been working on and put it in a drawer to work on again in the spring... occasionally things get misplaced or mislaid or more often than not I get distracted! This picture was one of them, lost for around 12-15 years and rediscovered this year. Once I found it I decided I had to finish it, it took some doing and a a few corrections were needed but finished at last. That's why this is a rediscovered view!
Chapter House Street is one of those hidden gem views, for those who explore the back lanes and secret ways will find. A mum and daughter walk their dog "Willow" along the back lanes, where they bump into a rather unhappy Lucy.
Lucy my black cat hides in this and most of my other York pictures. Have you found Lucy?
The original sketch is done in graphite pencil, matt pencil and Faber Castell polychromos pencil.
