York has a very powerful river the Ouse famous the world over for flooding the city on a regular basis. On one of its calmer days the walk along the river is a delight, moored along its banks are many canal barges. You will often see the distinctive red boats which you can hire heading up and down the river as well as many row boats from the many rowing clubs along the banks. Lendal Bridge is a very impressive structure with its ornate lamps and crests of the city adorning it.

The original sketch is done in graphite pencil, matt pencil and Faber Castell polychromos pencil.
