Monk Bar, York. Prints derived from my original Painting.
Monk bar is one of the City's gateways it leads towards the minster. In its battlements the gargoyles are defenders throwing rocks at invaders. They were aimed as a threat to any Scott who dared to enter the city at the time... we are much more tourist friendly these days.
Lucy my black cat hides in this and most of my other York pictures. Have you found Lucy?
The original painting was done in acrylic on canvas.
