BT19: A Thousand Words, The Braithwaite Gallery, Low Petergate, York. Prints derived from my original mixed media illustration on cotton.
Introducing Betty, who likes sightseeing with her friends and family. She tours the land, bringing a little colour to brighten the day, blissfully unaware of the attention she attracts as she gets mistaken for another, more famous Betty... Things just seem to happen around Betty as she walks through life, this series is a small photo album of some of those moments.
In this picture, Betty (a younger incarnation of dear Betty) and The Colonel browse some amazing artwork in a fabulous gallery on Low Petergate. Perhaps you can spot some other familiar Braithwaite Gallery characters too? A picture does indeed speak A Thousand Words.
