Autumn Sunlight Lendal Bridge, York. Prints derived from my original Painting.
The river Ouse in York in autumn is a thing of beauty and you can see through the thinning branches to what lays beyond. Here we see the minster peeping through the thinning golden branches. The colours of autumn reflected in the rivers apparent calm. The rivers in York have a special calm beauty about them, but don't let that deceive you its very strong and deep and many a foolish person has jumped dunkenly from the bridges for fun, some are lucky enough to survive this folly but not all. We have all seen on the news how the river can suddenly flood with deviating impact.
Lucy my black cat hides in this and most of my other York pictures. Have you found Lucy?
The original painting was done in acrylic paint on canvas.
